Dr. Janet Scott is a National Board Certified Counselor and a Tennessee Licensed Professional Counselor with a mental health service provider designation offering individual, group, couple and family therapy for diverse areas of emotional issues such as relationship problems, depression, alcohol/drug abuse, eating disorder, stress, women issues and abuse. She holds an M.A. degree and a Ph.D. in the area of counseling from The Ohio State University. She has been involved in the counseling profession for the past 28 years. She has published in professional journals.

 Dr. Scott is active in national and state professional mental health organizations as well as local civic organizations. In addition to her private practice, Dr. Scott provides workshops, training and consultation.

She is a contributing columnist for The Mid-South Tribune, The Mid-South Tribune ONLINE and the Black Information Highway (BIH).
