Memphis, TN - PRISON STORIES is
Voices of the South’s latest outreach program, providing a writing
and theatre intensive for women currently serving time in the Shelby
County Prison System.
“... [The women in the Prison Stories Project are using writing,
theatre and storytelling to move confidently
into the future. Their stories are unique and valuable, dignified by
the circle of trust they create for each other,” said Elaine
Blanchard- program director
Join Voices collaborators as they share stories of joy, tragedy,
hope and forgiveness as written by this year’s PRISON STORIES
participants. Voices of the South is proud to present and celebrate
this public debut of new work from the community.
