Fishing Network Searches for Favorite Fishing Area
TORONTO, ONTARIO, CANADA -- Passionate anglers from more than 160
towns and cities across Canada heeded the call of WFN: World Fishing
Network, by nominating their favorite fishing area in the hope of
staking their claim to a $25,000 prize and the title of WFN's
Ultimate
Fishing Town. The first round of public voting is open at
www.wfn.tv/fishingtown.
"The race is now officially on to find Canada's ultimate place to
fish," said Mark Rubinstein, President and CEO of World Fishing
Network. "From
Kitimat,
BC, to
Pesable,
PEI, over 160 communities have raised the rod to win. It's now in
the hands of Canadians to vote for their favourite fishing
community."
The first round of public voting continues through
Sept. 1, 2010.
At the end of this voting period, 10 towns will be selected as
finalists and voted upon from Sept. 7-28. On Oct. 4, WFN's
Ultimate
Fishing Town winner will be announced and awarded a $25,000 donation
for fishing-related cause(s) and have a 30-minute feature show about
fishing in their town air on WFN. There is also over $7,500 in
additional prizes.
Customized promotional tools made available to nominated towns.
To help communities promote their towns, WFN has created easy to use
applications that allow users to customize posters and web banners
with ease. By visiting the "Promote Your Entry" section of
