Pumpkin Bowl

 

 

1 loaf Rhodes™ Wheat or White Bread dough, thawed but still cold

1 egg, beaten

 

Cut off a small piece of dough to use for a stem and set aside. Shape remaining dough into a round ball. With a knife, cut the ball from top to bottom (1/2 inch deep) 6 times to imitate pumpkin sections. Using the handle of a wooden spoon, poke a deep hole into the top of the bowl down to the base. Shape the cut off piece into a cone and insert the small end into the hole. Place on a sprayed baking sheet and brush with egg. Cover with plastic wrap and let rise until double. Remove wrap and bake at 350°F 20-30 minutes. Let cool, then cut off the top. Hollow out the pumpkin and fill with your favorite stew, dip, chili or soup. For 2 smaller pumpkin bowls, cut loaf in half width wise and follow instructions above.

 

Spider Web Pepperoni Pizza

 

6 Rhodes Texas™ Rolls or 9 Rhodes™ Dinner Rolls, thawed but still cold

3/4 cup pizza sauce

pepperoni

mozzarella cheese cut into long skinny strips

3-4 large black olives

 

Spray counter lightly with non-stick cooking spray. Combine rolls and roll into a 12-inch circle. Place on sprayed 12-inch pizza pan and poke with a fork several times to prevent bubbles from forming. Bake at 350°F 10-15 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool slightly. Spread crust with pizza sauce and top with pepperoni. Lay strips of cheese in a spoke and then a wheel design to form spider web. Bake the pizza at 350°F just long enough to melt the cheese slightly. To form the spider, cut a slight piece off the side of 1 large olive and use larger piece to form the body. Place in desired spot on the pizza. Cut the rounded end without the large hole off of another olive and place it next to the body for the head. Cut the last one or two olives into 8 long skinny strips and place 4 of them on each side of the spider for legs.

 

 

Yummy Mummy Dogs

 

Rhodes™ Dinner Rolls, thawed but still cold

bun length hot dogs

mustard

 

For each Mummy Dog, cut one dinner roll in half. Roll each half into a 22-24 inch rope. Cut a 11/2 inch piece off to wrap around the top. Wrap remaining rope around hot dog from bottom up 41/2 inches. Repeat to make as many as desired.

Place Mummy Dogs on a sprayed baking sheet and bake at 350°F 10-15 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from oven, cool slightly and add mustard eyes. Serve warm with ketchup and mustard.
