Jack Belote Named Golf Digest’s Collegiate Player of the Week; Belote’s three-round total of 205 ranks as the second lowest in program history

MEMPHIS, Tenn.— Jack Belote has been named the Golf Digest’s Collegiate Player of the Week, as announced Monday, September 27.

Belote posted scores of 66-69-70—205 at Vanderbilt Legends Club’s South Course en route to defeating Will Kropp of South Carolina by one stroke to earn medalist honors. Belote’s three-round total was tied for the second lowest in school history as he became the first Tiger to win an event sine Brad Benjamin in 2007.

His performance led Memphis to a two-stroke victory over South Carolina, the first for the Tigers since 2008. Belote is currently ranked as the 49th best collegiate golfer in the country with a rating of 69.36.
