LIST OF 100-CITY TRAYVON FOR JUSTICE VIGILS

Editor's note: Travelers, below is a full list of the 100 cities and locations set for the Trayvon Martin Vigils on Saturday, July 20, 2013. Participating will be: Rev. Al Sharpton, President of National Action Network (NYC vigil); Sybrina Fulton, mother of Trayvon Martin (Sybrina Fulton will attend NAN’s pre-vigil rally and weekly live radio broadcast before attending the Noon NYC vigil); Tracy Martin, father of Trayvon Martin (Miami vigil); Martin Luther King, III (Atlanta vigil) and Hundreds of civil rights activists, elected officials, & community leaders.  At 10:00 A.M. Rev. Al Sharpton  will deliver pre-vigil remarks at NAN’s weekly live radio broadcast and action rally. Sybrina Fulton will be in attendance, 106 West 145th Street (at Malcolm X Blvd. Vigils scheduled to begin at Noon (Eastern Time).

BACKGROUND:

Trayvon Martin’s parents Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin will stand with Rev. Al Sharpton and National Action Network for the “Justice for Trayvon” 100 city vigils on Saturday, July 20th. Sybrina Fulton and her surviving son Jahvaris Fulton will stand with Rev. Al Sharpton and NAN at the federal building in New York City at Noon, while Trayvon’s father Tracy Martin will join NAN’s Southeast Regional Chairman Bishop Victor Curry and Florida chapter a the Miami location for the “100-city Justice for Trayvon” vigil.

NAN is organizing the “Justice for Trayvon” vigils to press the federal government to investigate civil rights charges against George Zimmerman. Hundreds of national preachers, led by Rev. Al Sharpton and NAN will hold prayer vigils and rallies in front of federal buildings calling on the Justice Department to investigate the civil rights violations made against Trayvon Martin.
