ON LOCATION: MEMPHIS OPENS ITS CALL FOR
ENTRIES FOR ITS 13TH ANNUAL
INTERNATIONAL FILM & MUSIC FESTIVAL
Festival Slated to
Begin in April, 2012
On Location: MEMPHIS is ready to get rolling, and to that end, we are
calling on filmmakers from around the world to submit their very
best features, documentaries, live action shorts, animation shorts,
music videos and college-student films to our 13th annual
international film and music festival.
The submission period, which began on September 10, 2011, will run
through December 20, 2011. Filmmakers should check www.withoutabox.com
for submission guidelines and entry portals. A link has been
to Withoutabox on the website, www.onlocationmemphis.org
"For the13th annual festival we are excited to present a city-wide
event. The On Location: MEMPHIS Airstream will be on the move in
2012," said a spokesman for the company.
The
first stop will be at the Malco Paradiso Theater for Opening
Night, April 19, 2012. The second stop will be at Malco’s Studio on
the Square on Friday, April 20, 2012. Finally, On Location: MEMPHIS
will be parked at the newly-refurbished Malco Ridgeway 4 on April
21-22, 2012.
On Location: MEMPHIS’ mission is to advance, educate and inspire
filmmakers, students, and professionals in the cinema arts; to
connect the regional audience to the work of local and global
filmmakers; and to collaborate with other organizations to
strengthen the film community and the economic development of
Memphis. On Location: MEMPHIS is a 501(c)(3) non-profit
organization who survives on sponsorships, donations and
grants.
