AMC and AMCTV.COM TO AIR WORLD PREMIERE OF COMMON’S NEW MUSIC VIDEO “CELEBRATE” FROM HIS UPCOMING ALBUM

THE DREAMER, THE BELIEVER

on Sunday, DECEMBER 18 at 10:00PM ET/PT.

New York, NY – December 14, 2011 – AMC and Warner Bros. Records announce a first look at the world premiere of Common’s new music video “Celebrate,” Sunday, December 18th on AMC during the 10PM ET showing of “Hell on Wheels.” The video will be shown in its entirety on amctv.com immediately following the program.

As a GRAMMY Award-winning musician, literary author, community activist, inspirational leader and star of the critically acclaimed network’s newest hit series, Common feels that “Certain art, certain music has a universal tone to it, and that’s what I believe we created. “Celebrate” makes me think of having a good time with people you love and enjoy.”

Common has spent his career pushing boundaries and taking listeners out of their comfort zones with his socially conscious words. Common has become one of hip-hop’s most poetic and respected lyricists earning two GRAMMY Awards and several nominations.  His highly anticipated ninth album, The Dreamer, The Believer, will be released by Warner Bros. Records on December 20, 2011.

“Hell on Wheels” airs Sundays at 10PM ET on AMC

ABOUT “HELL ON WHEELS”

Based on true historical events, “Hell on Wheels” transports audiences back to post Civil War America and examines the struggles and hardships of rebuilding and repairing our country after the bloodiest war on American soil. The series examines the railroad's institutionalized greed and corruption, the immigrant experience, the plight of the newly emancipated African-Americans during Reconstruction, and the ravaging of the Native American land and people, all in the name of “progress.”

Shot in rural Alberta, Canada, “Hell on Wheels” is led by a cast that includes Anson Mount as Cullen Bohannon, Common as Elam Ferguson, Dominique McElligott as Lily Bell, Colm Meaney as Thomas “Doc” Durant, Ben Esler as Sean McGinnes, Philip Burke as Mickey McGinnes, Eddie Spears as Joseph Black Moon, Christopher Heyerdahl as “The Swede”, Tom Noonan as Rev. Cole and Wes Studi as Chief Many Horses.
