Posted June 28, 2012 Members of Congress Will Walk Out on Partisan Attempt to Hold Attorney General Eric Holder in Contempt Washington, D.C.: Today Members of the Congressional Black, Hispanic, Asian Pacific American and Progressive Caucuses as well as other Members of Congress will walk off the House Floor instead of voting to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress, in order to express their strong opposition to this partisan activity. This contempt hearing distracts both the Congress in its duty to pass legislation pertinent to the American people, as well as the Department of Justice in its duty to investigate and pursue real crimes. Members will proceed through the center aisle to the East Capitol stairs where press availability will begin immediately after the vote. ###
