Refrigerator Cooking*
Strawberry Refrigerator Cake 1 lg. can evaporated milk 2 tbsp. lemon juice 1 3-oz. package strawberry gelatin 1 c. water 1 c. sugar 1 pt. frozen strawberries 1 9-oz. package vanilla wafers Pour milk into refrigerator tray; freeze until ice crystals form around edges. Place in bowl; add lemon juice. Beat until stiff. Mix gelatin, water and sugar in saucepan; bring to a boil. Add strawberries; stir until strawberries are thawed. Fold in whipped milk. Line 8x11x2-inch pan with waxed paper; place alternate layers of vanilla wafers and strawberry mixture in pan until all ingredients are used. Place in freezer until firm. Chill until served. Yield: 8 servings.
