Oprah Winfrey sits down with nine time Grammy winner John Legend, in his Hollywood Hills home, to talk about his first solo album in five years, his passion for education and politics and his friendship with collaborator and executive producer Kanye West.  John’s fiancée, model, TV host and Twitter personality Chrissy Teigen, joins the conversation amidst recent cheating rumors in the tabloids.

The show airs 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT) on June 9, 2013 on the OWN network (Check local cable provider).

One of the questions Oprah asks in this extensive interview is "How John Legend Knew Chrissy Teigen Was the Woman He Wanted to Marry?" Below is an excerpt:

OPRAH: What had happened that you had said, okay, I'm ready for the next step? Because you've been together for seven years, right?

CHRISSY: Yeah.

OPRAH: What was going on?

CHRISSY: These are good questions.

JOHN: I don't think it was one particular -- I don't think it was one particular moment but I knew I loved her. I knew I could see myself living with her and spending time with her forever. I knew I could envision us having kids together.

And I felt like it was time to propose.

She didn't pressure me. She didn't say, you know, it's time to put a ring on it. It just felt like -- I felt like it's time for us to get married.

OPRAH: Were you thinking, though, Chrissy, it's time to put a ring on it?

CHRISSY: There were -- after year four you got to start wondering like when is this gonna happen? And he's such a romantic all the time

CHRISSY: Yeah. I think you just lose hope then, maybe I had lost hope (laughter)
